Meet our volunteer trainers for the 2011 4-H Dog Project

This year we have group of professional dog trainers that have well over 50 years of combined experience that they will put to use helping you achieve your goals in preparing for this years Fair.  Our trainers are: Inge Goetz-Cordova, Nicki Arndt and Tracy Krasnov.

Originally from Germany, Inge has lived in New Mexico and California before moving to Hamilton, MT.  Inga is a CCPDT (Certified Council for Professional Dog Trainers) and APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) certified dog trainer that has experience in various areas of dog training including AKC obedience, Schutzhund (including 3 World Championships!), Search and Rescue, Agility, Law Enforcement, and Private Dog Training.  Inga owns her own dog training business- Potential Unleashed Dog Training- where she helps people to train their dogs using positive reinforcement based training methods.  Inge has raised and trained German Shepherd Dogs and currently has Australian Shepherd Dogs.

Nicki has lived in the Bitterroot for 7 years and comes to us from Colorado where she was involved in 4-H as a Dog Project Leader. A graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, Nicki has been involved in Weight Pulling earning multiple IWPA (International Weight Pulling Association) medals, Sled Dog Racing (Mushing) competing in sprint and mid distance races, and teaching people to train their dogs.  Nicki has her own dog training business – Arndt Racing aNd Dog Training- where she teaches people to train their dogs using the positive reinforcement based “clicker training” method.  Nicki loves to mentor kids and help them to achieve their dreams and has several past 4-H kids that have gone on to teach people to train dogs both in obedience and in Mushing.  Nicki has a small sled dog kennel of Alaskan Huskies and one Catahoula mix housedog.

Tracy is a 4-H dog project alumnus that grew up in Montana, then moved to Texas and New Mexico before moving to Hamilton. Tracy is very involved in NADAC (North American Dog Agility Council) and AKC agility earning several titles with her rescued Border Collie Duchess including qualifying for the 2009 NADAC championships in Tennessee. Tracy has her own training business – Canine Connections- where she teaches people how to train their dogs for agility as well as help them solve behavioral problems and work on obedience using positive reinforcement methods.
