FAMILY CONSUMER SCIENCES

Community Development- help citizens and governments gain the information they need to make their communities better places to live. Programs include: buisiness retention and expansion; tourism; building partnerships; leadership; value added markets. community planning and vision.

Family & consumer Sciences- Research based information to help Montanans make informed decisions regarding nutrition, food safety, healthy lifestyles, financial management, family relations, housing and environmental issues such as pollution prevention.

Disaster & Emercency Preparedness - Programs to assist the public and emergency response agencies regarding prevention, preparedness and response to all hazard emergencies.  Programs include: first aid and CPR, farm safety; emergency medical technician; simulated disaster exercises; public access to the system through enhanced 9-1-1 and rural addressing; homeland security; injury prevention techniques; and building disaster resistant communities.
